These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website offtheboot.com (the “Site”) and the trip-planning services offered by OffTheBoot(“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site or purchasing one of our services, you accept these Terms. They are written in accordance with the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005), the E-commerce Decree (D.Lgs. 70/2003), and Regulation (EU) 524/2013 on online dispute resolution.
OffTheBoot is a slow-travel planning service based in Padova, Italy. Any communication, including those required by law, can be sent to info@offtheboot.com.
OffTheBoot provides slow-travel planning services for Northeast Italy — the regions of Veneto, the Dolomiti, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. Our services are consulting services; we are not a travel agency under Italian law (D.Lgs. 79/2011) and we do not sell flights, accommodation, tour packages, or transport tickets. We advise you on where to go, how to move, and what to do, and we deliver a personalised written plan.
At present, we offer three plans:
Specific features, prices, and delivery times for each plan are shown on the Site and may change from time to time. Changes do not affect services already paid for.
You start a contractual relationship with us by (a) submitting the trip-planning questionnaire, and (b) paying for the chosen plan. The contract is considered concluded when we confirm receipt of your payment and begin work on your itinerary.
All communications between you and us, including the contract itself, are in English.
Prices are stated in euros (€) and include any applicable Italian VAT. Payment is made online through the third-party provider integrated into our checkout. Until payment clears, we are not obliged to start work.
Unless stated otherwise on the Site, we commit to delivering the first version of your itinerary within 48 working hours of receiving both your payment and a completed questionnaire. The Itinerary-plus-Call plan includes one video call, scheduled at a mutually agreed time within 14 days of delivery.
Each itinerary includes one round of revisions at no additional cost, if requested within 14 days of delivery. Additional revisions may be quoted separately.
Under Articles 52–58 of the Italian Consumer Code, EU consumers have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days from the day the contract is concluded, without giving any reason.
Important exception: where you expressly request that we begin the service before the 14-day period ends (which is the case whenever we start building your itinerary within the standard 48-hour delivery window), you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed (Art. 59, para. 1, letter a). If you withdraw after we have started but before we have delivered, you owe a proportionate amount reflecting the work already carried out.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, send an unambiguous statement to info@offtheboot.com within the 14-day period. We will refund the amount due within 14 days of receiving your request, using the same payment method you used.
You agree to:
Our recommendations are personal, well-informed advice based on our own experience. We do not guarantee availability, prices, opening hours, weather, or any other condition of the places we suggest. Italy — and especially the mountains, coast, and lagoons — can be unpredictable; please travel with appropriate insurance and common sense.
You remain solely responsible for your bookings, your safety, and your behaviour while travelling. We do not act as a travel agent or tour operator within the meaning of D.Lgs. 79/2011, and we do not issue travel packages.
We take our work seriously and stand behind it. That said, to the extent permitted by Italian law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the services is limited to the amount you paid us for the plan in question.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law, including the Italian Consumer Code.
All content on the Site — text, images, logos, and itineraries we deliver to you — is owned by OffTheBoot or licensed to us. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use your itinerary for your own personal travel. Reproduction, resale, republication, or public sharing of itineraries, in whole or in part, is not permitted without our prior written consent.
Personal data you provide is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Your contract with us is governed by the version of the Terms in force at the time you purchased the plan.
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For consumer contracts, the exclusive competent court is the court of the place where you reside or have your domicile, if located in Italy (Art. 66-bis of the Italian Consumer Code). For all other disputes, the competent court is Padova, Italy.
Under Regulation (EU) 524/2013, consumers resident in the EU may also submit disputes arising from online contracts to the European Commission's ODR platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address for ODR purposes is info@offtheboot.com.
OffTheBoot is operated by Alice Bertolio, natural person, based in Padova (PD), Italy.
